About the Role
As a Member Service Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for inbound calls from members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Your goal will be to provide an outstanding experience for every caller, every time, by listening attentively, responding empathetically, and resolving issues efficiently. To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Answering inbound calls from members and providers, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs
- Providing accurate and timely information, resolving issues, and escalating complex problems to senior team members when necessary
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, meeting performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals
- Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity via an ethernet cable (Wi-Fi not permitted) and company-provided equipment to perform job duties
- Participating in a comprehensive training program (first 6 weeks: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) and ongoing development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:
- Live within 50 miles of Richmond, VA, and be able to commute to the office when required (e.g., due to prolonged technical problems)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form
- Self-sufficient and able to work from home with minimal supervision
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience working remotely in a call center setting
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare

Compensation and Benefits
