Prior authorization is a crucial process that determines whether a prescribed procedure, service, or medication is covered by a member's current health plan. Your primary responsibility will be to receive inbound calls from doctor's offices or pharmacies, requesting coverage for specific medications or services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and respond to inbound calls from healthcare professionals, providing exceptional customer service and support
• Conduct initial screenings of prior authorization requests using online tools and guidelines, approving or referring requests to a pharmacist for clinical review as needed
• Manage a high volume of calls, with an average of 10-30 calls per day, and adapt to busy seasons with increased call volumes
• Utilize multiple systems (up to 5) to complete tasks, with comprehensive training provided to ensure proficiency
• Attend all scheduled trainings, including the initial 90-day training period, to ensure a solid understanding of our processes and systems

Qualifications and Requirements
