**Job Description**
As a Customer Service Representative in our remote support team, you will have the opportunity to work with families and schools that participate in the scholarship program, responding to incoming calls related to student inquiries, scholarship application, and funding status. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all questions are answered, callers are satisfied, and students are registered. You will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service and support to resolve their queries efficiently and effectively.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Respond to incoming calls from families and schools participating in the scholarship program
* Provide accurate and timely information on scholarship application and funding status
* Address student inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
* Ensure that all calls are handled in a professional and empathetic manner
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all calls and interactions
* Collaborate with the team to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction
* Stay up-to-date with program changes and updates to provide accurate information to clients
**Essential Qualifications:**
* At least one year of customer service/call center experience
* English proficiency (a language assessment will be required)
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering an excellent customer service experience
* Ability to remain empathetic, personable, and compassionate during sometimes difficult, tense situations
* Self-motivation, detail-orientation, and the ability to multitask
* Accurate typing and keyboard skills; comfort with PC/internet navigation
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Previous experience working in a non-profit organization or education sector
* Knowledge of scholarship programs and processes
* Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
* Certification in customer service or a related field
