**Job Summary**
As a Customer Service/Sales Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Providing fast, friendly service to our customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance
* Learning about our products using our tools and providing information to customers to sell entire projects
* Greeting, qualifying, recommending, and closing every customer in your department
* Maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Providing a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Working in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
**Key Responsibilities**
* Provide exceptional customer service by actively seeking out customers and providing assistance
* Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
* Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
* Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
* Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
* Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department as well as other departments
* Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an engaging shopping experience
* Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including handling returns and exchanges
* Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products and promotions
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer service and sales experiences
**Essential Qualifications**
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1-2 years of retail experience, preferably in a sales or customer service role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
* Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
* Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous experience in a home improvement or retail environment
* Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
* Experience with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
* Bilingual or multilingual skills
* Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
