About the Role
As a Data Analyst for our remote Aetna projects, you'll have the opportunity to leverage your analytics expertise to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted interventions. You'll work closely with a dedicated team to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and measure results, ultimately leading to better health outcomes for those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, disparities, and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data visualizations to support business intelligence
- Create reports and dashboards to communicate complex data insights to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven interventions
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and interventions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging best practices in data analysis and healthcare
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2-3 years of experience with SQL database programming
- 2-3 years of experience working with data visualization tools, such as Microsoft Excel and Power BI
- 2-3 years of analytics experience working with large datasets
- A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge:
- Experience working with Social Determinants of Health data and identifying disparities
- Deep understanding of demographic data, including race/ethnicity, language, gender, and urban/rural status
- Familiarity with large healthcare datasets, including administrative claims data and other relevant data sources
