Job Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for working with large, complex datasets to conduct ad-hoc analyses and provide insights that inform critical business decisions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Working with huge, chaotic, different datasets and directing impromptu investigations to illuminate basic business choices rapidly
- Creating ETLs or processes that pull information from various places and concentrate it in one table
- Developing data visualization to monitor and measure the impact of changes and unique business challenges
- Engaging with colleagues and cross-functional teams on an occasional basis and establishing credibility
- Investigating partner needs and collaborating with them to share significant data, including working with Operations, Finance, and Product teams on data accuracy, completion, and latency across various projects and systems
- Utilizing scripting languages (Python preferred) to automate activities made for reporting (screenshots, metrics prioritization, and anomaly recognition)
- Documenting your processes and sharing your knowledge with your peers, and guiding your colleagues as you become a Subject Matter Expert
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Exceptional SQL skills, with the ability to manipulate data from multiple tables while maintaining data integrity
- Creativity with a Client Experience platform to develop meaningful Scene Dashboards
- Business Acumen, with the ability to understand and root cause a business issue, and a Supply Chain background, ideally with transportation experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Advanced experience with SQL and Scene
- Experience with e-commerce operations or package carrier operations
- Experience with Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with data manipulation tools, such as Knime, Alteryx, R, Tableau Prep, etc.
