About the Role: Mentor Data Analyst
As a Mentor Data Analyst, you'll play a vital role in guiding our students through their training programs, sharing your industry expertise, and helping them succeed in their careers. This is a freelance opportunity that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to develop your pedagogical skills. You'll work with students on a weekly basis, providing one-on-one coaching and support through video calls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guiding Students: Provide guidance and advice to students as they complete projects within their training program.
- Sharing Industry Expertise: Inspire students with your experience and knowledge in the field of data analysis.
- Monitoring Progress: Track student progress throughout the mentoring sessions and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting Challenges: Report any problems or difficulties related to student progress to the OpenClassrooms team.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as data science, statistics, or computer science.
- Professional Experience: Have at least 2 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, with a strong background in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
- Technical Skills: Be proficient in Python or R programming languages and have experience with data gathering, standardization, and interpretation.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts and provide constructive feedback.
- Business Registration: Have a company structure or freelance status (registered in your country of residence) or be willing to create one.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching or Mentoring Experience: Have prior experience in teaching or mentoring, with a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals.
- Data Visualization Tools: Be familiar with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Machine Learning: Have experience with machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as regression, clustering, or decision trees.
