Job Summary
The Data Entry and Analysis Specialist will be responsible for leading the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and eliminating malicious actors attempting to compromise accounts, spam, engagement abuse, and other harmful activities. This role will also involve managing the Business Analysis team, which generates insights, measures uncaught malicious activities, and publishes Transparency Reports for countries worldwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, risk management, and team leadership, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Adversarial Abuse team in identifying and mitigating malicious activities, including account takeovers, spam, engagement abuse, and other harmful behaviors.
- Manage the Business Analysis team in generating insights, measuring uncaught malicious activities, and publishing Transparency Reports for countries worldwide.
- Collaborate with the Policy Development team to create policies using account, social, and content signals to describe harmful behavior.
- Deliver effective and efficient operational performance (e.g., quality, service levels) in a global team working 24×7.
- Engage, retain, manage, and develop talented team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage accelerations with tight timelines, providing data-driven insights and implementing policies while building relationships with key cross-functional partners to launch new products and policies that effectively prevent adversarial abuse.
Essential Qualifications
- Four-year degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in risk management, fraud fighting at scale, and building/deploying analytical models.
- 2 years of experience working with engineering teams that shape data infrastructure and ML models.
- 2 years of experience leading teams with the ability to work non-standard weeks of work as accelerations require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in a related field (e.g., research, engineering, data science).
- 2 years of experience in analysis of large datasets and anomaly detection.
- Experience or demonstrated interest in anti-abuse activities.
- Knowledge of SQL/R/Matlab.
- Exceptional influencing and leadership interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners.
- Excellent business judgment, strategic and analytical skills, including using data to drive strategy and business action with the ability to work in a rapidly changing industry and manage ambiguity while minimizing uncertainty through quantitative insights.
