In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our art, design, and engineering teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and challenges in our development process. You will collaborate with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs given the problem context and development timeline, implement the selected solution, and facilitate the adoption of the solution by the team. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting, developing, and maintaining our company's present set of engine-specific and custom tools that we use daily.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong passion for empowering others to do their best work. You should enjoy working with the overall tool lifecycle, from discovering issues to comparing potential solutions, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness. You should also have experience working with custom standalone tools and be capable of growing tools that can be utilized by many game development disciplines.
While not required, experience with custom game engines, Unreal or Unity, and JavaScript and web tech would be highly desirable. Additionally, having a strong understanding of the game development process and the ability to work with cross-functional teams would be a significant asset.
