Job Overview

We are offering a 4-month contract position with the potential for temporary to permanent employment based on performance. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm. During the training period, hours will be between 8 am and 5 pm. We are looking for someone with experience in data entry, although it is not necessary. A resume is required, and candidates must be willing to undergo a 10-key test, which will assess both numeric and alphanumeric data entry skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to business operations by performing processing tasks such as data entry, scanning, mail sorting, or similar activities.
• Perform data entry of material from source documents to a computer database, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
• Transcribe routine pre-coded and identifiable alphanumeric data from source documents and/or phone calls into an automated system.
• Receive and distribute incoming mail and materials, and perform document scanning and processing in the mailroom.
• Enter Medical claims data into the Claims System via 10-key and alphanumeric data entry, screen medical claim forms for completeness of data, and route claims to other areas as necessary.
• Adjudicate and suspend claims when appropriate, and provide backup support to other team/group members in the performance of job duties as assigned.
• Perform numeric filing and other clerical tasks as required.

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or an associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in data entry, although not necessary, is highly desirable. Candidates with experience in a related field, such as administrative support or customer service, may also be considered.
• Excellent keyboarding skills, with the ability to type accurately and efficiently. A 10-key test will be administered to assess numeric and alphanumeric data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy and completeness of data entry.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a remote environment, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Familiarity with data entry software and automated systems, such as claims processing systems.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and claims processing procedures.
