About the Role We're looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our Cloud Innovations Application Stage (AP) team. As a key member of this team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing our AI strategy to take our developer experience platform to the next level and accelerate application development within Apple. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, applying machine learning algorithms to large-scale data to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Design and implement AI strategies to drive business outcomes and improve developer experiences Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, programmers, and other data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions Develop and deploy machine learning models to solve complex business problems, leveraging expertise in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL Ensure data quality through analysis, modeling, and interpretation of results, providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders Select and optimize machine learning algorithms, train models, and fine-tune hyperparameters to achieve best-in-class predictive performance Communicate complex AI model insights to non-technical audiences, distilling technical information into actionable intelligence Apply ML methods to drive developer efficiency and productivity Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) 2+ years of experience in the software industry, focused on machine learning and AI Proficiency in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, with experience working with distributed stores like S3, Flash, and Vector Data Set Strong understanding of advanced AI (ML) algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and large language models Experience with model deployment, experimentation, and iteration Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data insights and communicate findings effectively Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the crowd, you'll have: Experience working with transformer architectures, vector embeddings, and applying models to solve diverse business problems Knowledge of training models, fine-tuning hyperparameters, and calibrating models to custom needs Experience applying ML methods to drive developer efficiency and productivity A strong track record of delivering high-impact projects and driving business outcomes through AI-driven solutions What We Offer At Apple, we're committed to creating a work environment that's inclusive, collaborative, and rewarding.
