About the Role and Program
The Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology (DE&ET) business enterprise is at the forefront of the company's future growth and development. Our team is responsible for global linear and digital media distribution, design and development of all customer-facing digital products, marketing and advertising technology, customer data, and global broadcast operations. As a Design Intern with the DE&ET team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting and innovative projects, collaborating with a talented team of designers, engineers, and other professionals to create exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Work on one or more projects with mentorship from our design team, from concept to completion, culminating in a presentation to the full design team
- Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and one-on-one conversations with various members of the team
- Presentation of ideas for innovation in any of the digital products we support
- Support the design team with daily design tasks and deliverables
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and other business partners, to create cohesive and user-friendly customer experiences
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a solid foundation in design principles, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. Some of the key qualifications and skills we are looking for include:
- Solid knowledge of design tools, including Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Self-motivated, problem solver, and a strong communicator
- Outstanding work ethic, reliable, adaptable, and able to work well with others
- Interest in and aptitude for learning new technologies and design skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and analytical thinking
- Ability to multi-task and context switch easily in a fast-paced and ever-evolving organization

Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications and skills, we are also looking for candidates with:
- Experience designing exceptional user experiences and customer flows across app and web
- Ability to design within brand guidelines and contribute to design language
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student in a recognized college/university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, and Information Architecture or a related field, and returning to school following the internship
Education and Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for this internship, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be currently enrolled in a recognized college/university, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter prior to participation in the internship program, and returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship
- Not have completed one year of continuous employment on a Disney internship or program
- Own unrestricted work authorization

Compensation and Benefits
The base pay for this internship will be competitive and will take into account internal equity, as well as the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
