Key Responsibilities
- Show a broad comprehension of enterprise data storage conditions
- Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies
- Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software
- Define and implement trend storage plan techniques, based on industry standards and best practices
- Interface and communicate with application, database, server, and other technology groups on architecture, and configuration selection, to ensure suitable storage technology and design
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills to adapt and prioritize tasks in a continually changing workplace
- Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and irregular tasks
- Contributes technical support and guidance on complex activities like installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all systems
- Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the safety of storage systems
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in data storage or a related field with emphasis in networking and storage protocols
- Industry knowledge and experience for large-scale SAN design and implementation
- Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with skill in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
- Solid grasp of current and emerging data protection technologies
- Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
- Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
- Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
- VMWare concepts and administration
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related discipline preferred (a combination of training, work experience, and education may be considered)
