Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Event Technician, Audio Visual to join our team on a seasonal full-time basis. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of basic and small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. Key Job Responsibilities Equipment Operation: Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment. Customer Service: Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers, maintaining a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication. Technical Ability: Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with equipment and software issues. Systems Knowledge: Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately, utilizing equipment sheets to determine the equipment scheduled for setup and strike. Job Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Education: High School Diploma required; Associate's degree is preferred. Technical Certification: Achieve Technical Level 3 Certification per Encore Technical Skillset Matrix within 180 days. Experience: 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred; 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50 lbs and meet the specified physical criteria to effectively execute essential job functions. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes, and you may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. You will use high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders.
