About the Role
The External Support Engineer is a critical position that requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. As the first point of contact for content teams, you'll provide technical support, create reference materials, and train external teams on our toolset. Your goal is to quickly resolve issues, escalate complex problems to the tool development team, and advocate for tool improvements and suggestions from external teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to content/external teams regarding the use of content tools, ensuring timely issue resolution and minimal downtime.
- Create high-quality reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with our toolset, promoting efficient content creation.
- Debug and solve possible issues with tools and workflows, collaborating with the tool development team to resolve complex problems.
- Escalate complex or problematic issues to the tool development team and work with production to track these issues in JIRA, ensuring transparent issue management.
- Advocate for tool improvements, workflow enhancements, and suggestions from external teams, driving feature development from concept to completion.
- Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the growth and innovation of our content creation ecosystem.
- Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.
- Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as an External Support Engineer at blithequark, you'll need:
