Job Overview We are looking for an accomplished professional to support our General and Regulatory capabilities and corporate Mastercard and travel programs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, drive workflow improvements to achieve scale, and build strong relationships with a diverse group of cross-functional partners. This is a hybrid position that can be situated in Los Gatos or Los Angeles, offering the flexibility to work from home and collaborate with our team remotely. Key Responsibilities Own the month-end close cycle, including review of prepaid, accrual, and business accounts to ensure financial statement accuracy under US GAAP. Operational responsibilities include recording or journal entries (including intercompany entries), preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, budget versus actual review, and trend analysis. Drive process improvements and automate manual workflows to achieve efficiency. Create insightful close packages that summarize key business and accounting trends for management review. Represent Corporate Accounting in cross-functional interactions with SP&A, Financial Applications, Travel and Expense, Cash Acquisition Activities, Tax, and regional accounting partners. Assist teams in gathering required information for local reporting and compliance purposes. Essential Qualifications 4+ years of relevant accounting experience. Understanding of US GAAP; CPA or equivalent designation preferred. Ability to handle multiple competing needs and meet tight deadlines. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven experience implementing workflow improvements. Flexibility in a quickly changing environment. Ability to solve problems independently and exercise judgment when solutions are unclear.
