As a Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness, you will play a crucial role in delivering our signature group fitness program, PE@PF, and helping members achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and Judgement Free Zone environment. Key Responsibilities Leading Group Fitness Classes: Teach 11-14 thirty-minute small-group fitness classes of up to ten people per class, focusing on correct exercise form and technique, progressions, and regressions. Member Success: Meet with members one-on-one and in small-group settings to design individual exercise programs, consult on fitness goals, and instruct on proper equipment usage. Program Development: Create bi-weekly updated exercise programs for small-group fitness classes, incorporating a variety of exercises and modalities. Metrics-Driven: Track and record PE@PF success metrics, striving for continuous improvement to meet or exceed expectations. Club Operations: Support the overall operation of the club, including equipment inspection, supply management, and responding to member inquiries. Front Desk Support: Assist with front desk activities, such as answering phones, checking members into the system, and introducing new members to the gym and PE@PF program. Essential Qualifications and Skills Certification: Current training certification from an NCCA-accredited organization (e.g., ACE, NCSF, NASM). Experience: Prior experience in personal or group training or a bachelor's degree in exercise science is preferred. Age: Must be 18 years of age or older. CPR Certification: Current CPR certification, paid for by the employer. Software Proficiency: Basic software computer applications proficiency, including Google Suite, DataTrak, or similar software. Physical Requirements: Ability to engage in continuous action, lift up to 25lbs, and occasionally move or lift up to 75 pounds. Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively and professionally with members and co-workers. What We Offer Competitive Compensation: Starting wage of $13.50-15/hour with potential advancement after 6 months, plus $1 shift premium between 10pm-7am.
