About the Fitness Trainer Role: Creating Unforgettable Member Experiences As a Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness, you'll play a vital role in shaping the fitness journeys of our members. You'll be responsible for operating our group fitness program (PE@PF), creating a class schedule, and proactively engaging with members on the club floor to help them achieve their fitness goals. Your passion for fitness, combined with your exceptional communication skills and ability to inspire others, will make you an invaluable asset to our team. Key Responsibilities: Delivering Exceptional Member Experiences Create a class schedule for members, including Orientation and DYOP (Develop your own program) Proactively engage with members on the club floor to understand their fitness goals and provide support as needed Instruct members on how to safely use equipment and provide guidance on their fitness journey Promote our Judgement Free Zone by connecting with members, offering assistance, and upholding club policies Perform comprehensive walks of all fitness areas to ensure a great member experience and address issues promptly Conduct prospective member calls and tours, assessing their membership needs and offering Trainer services Greet members and guests, assist with questions and concerns, and answer phones in a friendly manner Maintain a clean and sanitized environment, including exercise equipment, Black Card spa amenities, and communal spaces Ensure restrooms are clean, sanitized, stocked, and clutter-free by following the routine cleaning schedule Essential and Preferred Qualifications: What We're Looking For To succeed as a Fitness Trainer at Planet Fitness, you'll need: A Nationally Certified Training Certificate (e.g., ACE, NASM, or equivalent) 6-12 months of experience in a customer service environment (preferred) Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn our systems Willingness to become CPR/AED Certified (training provided by Planet Fitness) Ability to pass a background check Must be 18 years of age or older Skills and Competencies: What You'll Need to Succeed To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: A positive and upbeat attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional member experiences Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen and empathize with members A genuine motivation for helping others achieve their fitness goals Integrity, respect, and a commitment to upholding our company values The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: Growing with Us At Planet Fitness, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop in their careers.
