In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support our team across all disciplines, multiplying our efforts, enhancing crew performance, and helping us create the best games possible.
As a Sr. Gear Engineer at arenaflex, you'll work closely with our Art, Design, and Engineering teams to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and troubles in our development process. You'll collaborate with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh tradeoffs given the problem context and development timetable, implement the selected solution, and help the adoption of the solution by the team. Your expertise will be instrumental in assisting, developing, and maintaining arenaflex's present set of engine-specific and custom gear that we use every day.
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong passion for empowering others to do their best work. You should have experience with the overall device lifecycle, including coming across issues, comparing potential answers, implementing tools, and evaluating their effectiveness. You should also be comfortable working with custom standalone gear and enjoy growing gear that can be utilized by many game development disciplines.
While not required, experience with custom game engines, Unreal or Unity, and JavaScript and Net tech would be a significant advantage. If you have a passion for game development and a desire to work on cutting-edge projects, we encourage you to apply.
