Position Overview As an Accountant at Blithequark, you will be responsible for various bookkeeping activities, including month-end close processes, journal entries, and general ledger account reconciliations. Your primary goal will be to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our financial records, working closely with our Senior Tax Accountants. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain experience in a dynamic environment, and contribute to the success of our organization. Key Responsibilities: Plan and review payroll and financial statements, including merged statements and other accounting reports. Review and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting orders assigned to various accounts. Apply sound accounting principles and develop or suggest accounting procedures and systems. Assign or allocate work to accountants, accounting clerks, and other stakeholders to participate in daily accounting activities. Coordinate accounting matters with different departments, locations, and divisions. Participate in financial reporting and provide support to Senior Tax Accountants. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Must be 18 years old or older. Must be legally allowed to work in the USA. Minimum of 2 years of work experience in accounting or a related field. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word. Preferred Qualifications: 3 years of accounting experience. Experience with general ledger software, such as SAP or similar software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and execute multiple tasks. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Education and Certifications A four-year degree in accounting or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications, such as CPA, are an asset. Skills and Competencies Financial analysis and planning. Written and verbal communication skills. Computer application skills, including Excel, Access, and general ledger software. Ability to multitask and balance multiple high-priority tasks.
