Job Summary and Key Responsibilities As a Food Service Worker with Morrison Living, you will play a vital role in preparing, presenting, and serving food to our residents and guests. Your primary responsibilities will include: Performing prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighing and measuring designated ingredients to ensure accurate and consistent food preparation. Carrying pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards. Storing food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures. Cleaning work areas, equipment, and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment. Distributing supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed. Utilizing approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Serving customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service. Resolving customer concerns and relaying relevant information to supervisors. Ensuring compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures. Assuring compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 2 years of previous food service experience, preferably in a hospitality or healthcare setting. Excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease. A strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role: Culinary arts degree or certification. Experience with food safety and sanitation procedures. Knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques. Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
