About the Role

As a Remote Customer Service and Ramp Agent at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft, and contributing to the overall success of our airline. Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with travel needs, such as answering questions, handling baggage, and checking-in passengers and loading flights in a timely and efficient manner.
• Perform outside work in various weather conditions, including below-wing tasks such as transporting baggage and freight, loading and unloading aircraft, and marshaling aircraft.
• Conduct aircraft preparation and security checks to ensure the safety of our passengers and crew.
• Perform boarding and door duties, including assisting and coordinating with customers, making announcements, and processing upgrades and changes.
• Process and secure customer baggage, including handling claims for damaged, delayed, or lost luggage.
• Load and unload baggage and freight using conveyor belts and other equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to ensure total customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
• Typing speed of at least 25 WPM.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, squat, reach, and handle.
• Basic math skills and ability to perform calculations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
• Depending on the work location, ability to obtain USPS Mail Handling Certification.
• Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• At least 1 year of customer service or community service experience.
