About Us At Food First, we're passionate about advancing food justice and food sovereignty. Our mission is to end hunger and poverty by supporting and promoting local solutions that address systemic injustices in global food systems. Through grassroots mobilization, knowledge production, and the dissemination of solutions, we work to enable food sovereignty, one community at a time. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to food justice, we're committed to creating a more equitable and sustainable food system. Our work is guided by a deep understanding of the complex relationships between food, culture, and power. We believe that everyone deserves access to healthy, nutritious food, and that food should be a source of joy and connection, not a source of stress and anxiety. The Project Our Write Shop project is a unique opportunity to capture the stories of individuals who are working tirelessly to advance food justice and food sovereignty.
