Job Overview
In this critical role, you will be responsible for handling property and casualty (P&C) related customer service and billing inquiries via telephone, providing customers with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium. Key Responsibilities
- Contact policyholders through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal and update policies to enhance retention and better meet customer needs.
- Counsel policyholders on appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws to ensure sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance.
- Make recommendations and/or changes to policies and gain policyholder acceptance to process changes.
- Receive and respond to calls and emails, documenting all activity in our system.
- Utilize knowledge of the insurance industry and arenaflex policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service.
- Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms, and act as a liaison for information exchange between customers and insurance companies.
- Process changes to policies, follow up with companies to ensure timely processing, and review policy information to assist insured in filing claims.
- Recognize cross-sell opportunities and obtain quote information to drive business growth.
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment.
- A Property and Casualty insurance license, with a Membership license preferred or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong knowledge of insurance industry principles, practices, and procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge to provide exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including EPIC, and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
