Job Overview and Responsibilities
As an IT Business Analyst - IT Facilities, you will be responsible for providing expert IT management services, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of the critical infrastructure that supports our airport communication spaces. Your key responsibilities will include:
- IT management of all site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, accompanying, protection strategies of support and break/fix services for data center critical infrastructure, IT certification labs, and remote communication room critical climate hardware
- IT support of IT labs to align our customer application and engineering teams with workstations, equipment, and access to test their applications
- Remote coordination in association with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure support and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms
- Management, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment
- Development of data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure
- Support of IT Facilities campus fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of the Atlanta airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring
- Proposal and implementation of departmental policy, guidelines, rules, and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with all governing corporate standards and regulations
- Project management of data center and remote communication room standards capital enhancements, upgrades, and improvements
- Selection of IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual commitments
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities infrastructure
- Project management experience with remote communication room standards capital enhancements, upgrades, and improvements
- Capital budgeting and project management for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement
- Space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management
- Selection of critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual commitments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time limits
- Flexibility to support an operation with changing shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will give you an upper hand in this role:
- Four-year degree or 5 or more years of relevant experience
- Trade school graduate
- IT project management experience with (at least 2 years) in a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment, daily operational requirements, and the operation of production systems and equipment
