Job Overview
As an IT Business Analyst at blithequark, you will provide expert IT administration, project management, and support to ensure the functional sustainability of our critical infrastructure. This includes managing IT services, project management, and support for our airport communication spaces, data centers, and remote communication rooms. You will work closely with our IT Offices Group to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide IT administration of all site implementations, inventories, system planning, and maintenance for our data center and remote communication room critical infrastructure
- Support IT labs to align our client application and engineering teams with workstations, hardware, and access to test their applications
- Coordinate with professional services responsible for critical infrastructure maintenance and break-fix activities at remote communication rooms
- Manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure for data center and remote communication room equipment
- Develop data center and remote communication room standards for space, power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure
- Support IT Offices campus fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of our airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring
- Recommend and implement departmental policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all governing corporate policies and regulations
- Manage project management of data center and remote communication room guidelines capital upgrades, updates, and improvements
- Determine IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual commitments
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Knowledge of data center technology and critical facilities systems
- Project management experience, including capital budgeting and project management for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement
- Space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management experience
- Ability to determine critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, obtaining best prices for products and services, and ensuring that vendors fulfill their contractual commitments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance multiple priorities within established time limits
- Flexibility to support an operation with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will give you an upper hand:
- IT project management experience with at least 3 years of experience in a high-availability communication room or data center operating environment
- Experience with everyday operational requirements and the operation of production systems and equipment
