We're seeking experienced K-12 teachers to join our community as part-time virtual tutors, providing ELA and Math instruction to students nationwide. The Role: Virtual K-12 ELA and Math Tutor We're looking for skilled and passionate teachers to provide virtual small group instruction to K-12 students across the United States. As a Tutored by Teachers tutor, you'll work with students who require extra support, helping them overcome challenges and achieve academic success. Our tutoring engagements can vary in length, typically ranging from 14 to 30 weeks, and require a few hours of commitment per week. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, virtual ELA and/or Math instruction to K-12 students Deliver small group instruction, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of each student Utilize Google Classroom and Zoom to facilitate virtual tutoring sessions Prepare for tutoring sessions, including reviewing student data and materials Engage with students, parents, and school partners to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment Requirements and Qualifications To succeed as a Tutored by Teachers tutor, you'll need: Experience teaching K-12 ELA and/or Math in a traditional classroom setting Experience teaching in an online environment, or a willingness to adapt to virtual instruction Working knowledge of Google Classroom and Zoom Active teaching credential Bonus points for: Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction SPED or ELL teaching experience AP course experience Dedication to advancing equity in schools What We Offer As a Tutored by Teachers tutor, you'll enjoy: A competitive hourly rate of $36.00 per hour of tutoring (on a prorated basis), plus a 10% bonus for light preparation Flexible scheduling, with opportunities to choose from a variety of engagement schedules Opportunities for professional growth and development, including supplemental roles within our community A collaborative and supportive community of educators dedicated to advancing equity in education Compensation and Benefits Our compensation package is designed to reward talented educators for their expertise and dedication.
