Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Cyber Security Operations to join our team. The Manager will oversee the day-to-day cyber operations across the entire organization, ensuring the protection of information assets and maintaining the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of systems and data. This role will play a critical part in driving our cybersecurity strategy forward, leveraging the latest technologies and best practices to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Develop and implement strategic procedures, processes, and workflows to ensure efficient and effective cybersecurity operations that are fully integrated with the organization's overall security strategy.
- Manage and Lead Cybersecurity Teams: Oversee the use of various toolsets by cybersecurity teams to ensure optimal performance and alignment with organizational security objectives.
- Establish Performance Metrics and KPIs: Develop and refine performance metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of both teams and the tools they manage, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Cybersecurity Infrastructure and Toolset Management: Oversee the acquisition, implementation, and support of cybersecurity tools and technologies, ensuring they meet the organization's security needs and objectives.
- Drive Strategic Use and Optimization: Drive the strategic use and optimization of cybersecurity toolsets, ensuring they are effectively leveraged by team members for maximum impact.
- Evaluate and Select New Tools: Evaluate and select new tools and technologies in alignment with evolving security threats and industry trends, ensuring continuous improvement in the organization's cybersecurity posture.
- Ensure Proper Training and Support: Ensure proper training and support for team members on these toolsets, fostering a high level of expertise and operational efficiency within the cybersecurity teams.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to streamline cybersecurity operations across the organization.
- Implement and Maintain Tools: Implement and maintain tools, technologies, and procedures to enhance the overall effectiveness of cybersecurity operations.
- Conduct Regular Training and Exercises: Conduct regular training and exercises to ensure the readiness, skill development, and effectiveness of cybersecurity teams.
- Foster a Culture of Continuous Learning: Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation, encouraging teams to stay ahead of emerging threats and best practices.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) across all cybersecurity operations.
- Generate Regular Reports and Metrics: Generate regular reports and metrics to communicate the performance and effectiveness of cybersecurity operations to senior management and stakeholders.
- Participate in Audits and Assessments: Participate in audits and assessments to validate compliance with security policies and standards, ensuring the organization meets all regulatory and industry requirements.
- Oversee Corrective Actions: Oversee the implementation of corrective actions and improvements based on audit findings and assessments.
Qualifications
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Manager of Cyber Security Operations with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. A Master's Degree is preferred.
- Certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC, CISA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in a leadership role within Cybersecurity Operations is required.
- Team Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively, fostering collaboration and achieving operational goals.
- Cybersecurity Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity operations, including the use and management of security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $110,000-$115,000 USD, based on qualifications and experience.
