Key Responsibilities Teach students in grades K-12 based on their customized learning plans, helping them to grasp math concepts and develop problem-solving skills. Assist students with homework completion and provide guidance on math-related assignments. Deliver high-quality instruction, adapting to the individual needs and learning styles of each student. Participate in paid training to familiarize yourself with Mathnasium's curriculum, teaching strategies, and team teaching methods. Work collaboratively with other instructors to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment. Maintain a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere, promoting a love of learning and math. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed as a Math Teacher/Tutor at Mathnasium, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Strong math proficiency up to Algebra (proficiency through Geometry and Calculus is preferred). Exceptional score on Mathnasium's Math Literacy exam (covering material from 2nd grade and up). Availability to work at least 2 weekday shifts (afternoons after 3 pm). A clear record on state and national background checks. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in teaching or tutoring math. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs. Familiarity with Mathnasium's curriculum or similar math education programs.
