About the Role
We are seeking experienced medical transcriptionists to join our team of volunteer advisors. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise and experience with students who are interested in pursuing a career in medical transcription. Your contributions will help shape the next generation of medical professionals and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer questions from students about your career as a medical transcriptionist
- Share your experiences, skills, and knowledge with students
- Provide personalized advice and guidance to help students make informed decisions about their future careers

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience as a medical transcriptionist, with a strong understanding of the industry and its requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students and provide clear, concise advice
- Strong technical skills, with the ability to use online platforms and tools to communicate with students and access resources
- A commitment to giving back and making a positive impact on the lives of young people
Preferred Qualifications
We welcome applications from individuals with the following qualifications:
- Experience working with students or young people, either in an educational or professional setting
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and its various sectors, including medical transcription
- Experience with online platforms and tools, including social media and online learning environments
- A strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing underserved youth, and a commitment to addressing these issues
