As we embark on the next phase of our live journey, we need an adept professional who can tag, research, and provide detailed insights for live series and events. This role will report jointly to the Director of PDP Live and the Product Metadata and Ratings Manager, offering a unique opportunity to work across domains and contribute to the evolution of our live content strategy. Key Responsibilities Utilize research to predictively analyze individual live events, games, episodes, and more, breaking down relevant information and context. Enter predictive metadata into Netflix systems to ensure proper merchandising pre-event launch. Collaborate with the Live Product Metadata and Ratings team to ensure comprehensive understanding and coverage of live events and their metadata. Function as "eyes-on-glass" for live events, analyzing in real-time to ensure predictive metadata accuracy and updating Netflix systems as necessary. Log any Standards & Practices (S&P) concerns during live events and deliver them to the Live Ratings Strategist for review. Communicate and collaborate with the Live Metadata Strategist and Live Ratings Strategist on workflow updates and enhancements. Participate in editorial and innovation projects requiring cross-functional workflows. Stay informed about current affairs, cultural moments, and historical, political, social, and sensitive issues related to live content. Represent, educate, and advocate for PDP Live and Product Metadata and Ratings across the organization. Essential Qualifications To excel in this role, you should possess: Prior experience in media as a writer or editor covering live series and events, or experience as a Content Specialist, Insights Strategist, Metadata Analyst, or Platform Editor with a focus on live content. A deep passion for live series and events, coupled with a broad knowledge of the global entertainment industry and streaming landscape. The ability to adapt quickly to live programming and understand complex events and fandoms. Fluency in English and Spanish. Excellent communication, presentation, and cross-functional skills within a highly matrixed organization. The ability to master internal tools and systems, as well as fluency in data trackers and management systems like Airtable or Google Sheets. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with large data catalogs.
