We are now seeking an experienced and results-driven MAA Professional Music Teacher to join our team at Store 6203, where you will have the opportunity to inspire learning and create the next generation of musicians.
About the Role
As a MAA Professional Music Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching music lessons to a diverse population of students, communicating with parents on the progress of each student, and collaborating with our store team to maximize the lesson experience. You will work in our clean and safe studios or through online lessons, and we will take care of all the administrative work so you can focus on what you do best: inspiring and educating your students. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach music lessons to a diverse population of students, including children and adults
- Communicate with parents of students (where applicable) on the progress of each student, providing regular updates and feedback
- Work with students in our clean and safe studios or through online lessons, adapting your teaching style to meet the needs of each student
- Collaborate with store team to maximize lesson experience, including participating in staff meetings and contributing to the development of new programs and initiatives
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, tailored to the needs and abilities of each student
- Evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help students achieve their goals
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent substitutable experience in music education or a related field
- At least 2 years of music teaching experience, with a proven track record of success in inspiring and educating students of all ages and skill levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- A strong passion for music and music education, with a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of your students
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred:
- A Master's Degree in music education or a related field
- Experience teaching music lessons online, with a strong understanding of digital platforms and tools
- Familiarity with music education software and technology, including lesson planning and student management tools
- Experience working in a retail or customer-facing environment, with a strong focus on providing excellent customer service
