Position Overview and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide real-time, remote assistance to students across various K-12 subjects, delivering high-quality, interactive sessions that enhance their understanding and academic performance. As an online K-12 tutor, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering real-time, interactive tutoring sessions across a broad range of K-12 subjects to students, including Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Business, and Languages.
- Helping students understand and apply key concepts and skills relevant to their grade level and subject area, using a variety of teaching methods and strategies to cater to different learning styles.
- Adapting sessions to address individual learning needs and ensure effective comprehension, providing personalized support and feedback to students.
- Providing live assistance through our online virtual whiteboard using text, audio, and video, creating an engaging and immersive learning experience for students.
We have a high demand for tutors in the following subjects: Language Arts (K-12 Reading, K-12 Writing), Mathematics (K-12 Math, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Statistics), Science (K-12 Science, Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, Environmental Science), Social Studies (History, Government, Canadian History), Business (Accounting, Economics, Finance), and Languages (Spanish, French).
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, a specific subject area (such as Mathematics, Science, English), or a related field; proof of education is required.
- A valid U.S. Teaching License or Educator Certificate, with a strong knowledge and understanding of the subjects you will be tutoring.
- Previous experience tutoring or teaching K-12 students in relevant subjects is preferred, although we welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who are passionate about online education.
- A personal computer with a fast and stable internet connection, along with a reliable microphone and webcam for interactive online sessions.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, with regular on-demand tutoring sessions paid at $17 per hour, and prearranged high dosage tutoring sessions paid at $22 per hour (ELA) or $25 per hour (Math). Additionally, tutors who regularly participate in high dosage tutoring sessions may qualify for extra incentives, providing opportunities for professional development and financial growth.
