About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Data Entry and Financial Analysis Professional to join our team at blithequark. As a key member of our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth and profit development through customer-driven pricing principles, flexible pricing architecture, and innovative pricing solutions. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth, which is critical to the strength of our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change.
- Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region.
- Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities.
- Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing teams that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions.
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles.
- A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in Finance/Accounting/Business.
- High proficiency with Excel is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data.
- Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
- A strong relationship with stakeholders and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives.
- A strong work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, which puts an emphasis on driving results.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment.
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile or Scrum.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box.
