Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and technology-savvy individual to join our team as a Part-Time Remote Receptionist. As the first point of contact for our community, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone and email communications, and facilitating student enrollments and lesson scheduling. Your excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and passion for music and the arts will make you an ideal candidate for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and Assist Visitors: Provide a friendly and professional welcome to students, families, and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of our music school.
- Manage Phone and Email Communications: Respond to incoming calls and emails in a timely and courteous manner, addressing all inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
- Oversee Incoming Calls and Emails: Ensure that all inquiries are addressed promptly, and follow up with students, families, and staff as necessary.
- Facilitate Student Enrollments and Lesson Scheduling: Assist students and families with the enrollment process, schedule music lessons, and communicate with teachers and staff as needed.
- Communicate Information Regarding Upcoming Events: Share information about upcoming events, concerts, and performances with students, staff, and parents through various channels, including email, social media, and our monthly newsletter.
- Handle Social Media Postings: Create and schedule social media posts to engage our music community, promote events, and share student achievements.
- Create and Distribute a Monthly Newsletter: Design and publish a monthly newsletter highlighting school news, events, and student achievements, and distribute it to our community.
- Assist with Event Planning and Coordination: Help plan and coordinate events, including logistics, promotion, and execution, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our community.
Required Skills
- Outstanding Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills through phone and email, with a warm and personable approach.
- Excellent Organizational Abilities: Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Social Media Platforms: Be proficient in utilizing social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) for promotional activities and community engagement.
- Familiarity with Email Marketing Tools: Have experience or proficiency with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Click Funnels) to create and send newsletters and promotional emails.
- Design Skills: Possess experience or proficiency with design tools (Canva) to create visual content for social media, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Passion for Music and the Arts: Have a genuine passion for music and the arts, and be able to communicate this enthusiasm to our community.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive Hourly Wage: Receive a competitive hourly wage based on experience, with opportunities for advancement and salary increases.
- Part-Time Schedule: Work a part-time schedule (20+ hours per week), primarily from 3 PM to 7 PM, Monday to Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
