Job Summary
We are currently hiring a Part-Time Teacher/Tutor to join our team at Sylvan Learning of Western Carolinas and Midlands of SC. As a Part-Time Teacher/Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children by providing individualized learning experiences that cater to their unique needs. Key Responsibilities
- Teach reading, math, writing, study skills, and/or ACT/SAT Test Prep to students in a small group setting (3 or 4:1)
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the unique needs of each student
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in education
- Collaborate with other instructors to share ideas and best practices
- Manage time effectively to meet the needs of multiple students and families
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Current or expired teaching license from any state
- Passion for teaching and making a difference in the lives of children
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work a variety of schedules, including afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays

- Experience working with children in a educational setting
- Knowledge of curriculum and instructional methods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience with technology and educational software
