Job Overview We are looking for a talented and passionate individual to join our team as a part-time tutor, working 5-10 hours a week. As a tutor, you will have the opportunity to instruct small groups of students in Reading and/or Math, either in a face-to-face school setting or virtually. You will be responsible for delivering designated instructional models and strategies, utilizing company-designed materials and educational strategies. Key Responsibilities Instruct Reading and/or Math to small groups of students in a face-to-face school setting or virtually Attend training sessions and deliver designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills to eligible students Maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans provided by Catapult Learning Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by company, local, state, and federal agencies Maintain consistent communication with company supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or higher A minimum of 1 year of experience with instructing students (K-8) Experience with both onsite classroom and virtual instruction preferred Working knowledge of MS Office and virtual meeting programs (Zoom, Teams, etc.) preferred A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards students, administration, parents, and other internal and external customers Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience working with at-risk youth or students who are struggling Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation Experience with educational technology and software Bilingual or multilingual skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong instructional and teaching skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Catapult Learning, we are committed to supporting the professional growth and development of our employees.
