Key Responsibilities
As a Business Travel Consultant, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing out-of-hours emergency calls for flight bookings, changes, and reissues for clients worldwide
- Booking complex multisector flight itineraries as well as point-to-point, working with a variety of fares for clients overseas in different time zones
- Maintaining awareness of all airline rules and regulations, tariffs, and fare requirements
- Providing exceptional customer service to clients, handling time-dependent changes and reissues in a professional and efficient manner
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- At least 3 years of experience in business travel, corporate travel, or flights brokering, handling client travel, changes, and cancellations
- Strong experience working with Galileo (at least 3 years+)
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle time-dependent changes and reissues
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of flights, fares, and GDS
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
While not essential, the following skills and qualifications are desirable:
- Ability to do your own mark-ups
- Experience working with a variety of fares and airline rules and regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances
Work Schedule and Benefits
The working hours for this role are:
- Friday: 17:00 - 00:00
- Saturday: 09:00 - 17:00 or 10:00 - 17:00 (if preferred)
- Sunday: 12:00 - 20:00 (unless covering an event in China, which may require an earlier start time)
In addition to a competitive salary, you will also receive:
- Performance-related pay on commission
- 22 days holiday (pro rata) with an additional day for each year worked up to an extra 5 days
