About the Role: Principal Technical Consultant
As a Principal Technical Consultant with AT&T, you'll be part of our Consumer Technology experience team, providing technical sales support to ensure successful customer integration and implementation of our established company products. You'll collaborate with our sales team to contribute to unit sales plans through a diverse scope of pre-sales and post-sales technical consulting activities, requiring highly complex and diverse solutions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Consult on complex technical issues during joint sales calls with the sales team, providing expert guidance and support to drive successful customer outcomes.
- Sell and support highly complex company products and systems, working closely with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Analyze complex problems and solutions, reviewing identifiable factors to provide expert technical expertise in sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installation and maintenance of company products.
- Answer customer inquiries concerning system software and applications, providing software development and consultation to prospective users for complex solutions.
- Develop and deliver complex systems/applications solutions to customers' business, information, technical, and educational needs, demonstrating a deep understanding of our products and services.
- Analyze practices, procedures, and data to determine answers to technical issues, creating recommendations and implementing new methods, techniques, and/or procedures for complex solutions with diverse scope.
- Build mini-applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility, often requiring rapid prototyping and a deep understanding of functional/process areas.
- Lead the development of bid and pricing strategies in conjunction with ICB pricing and product management, identifying, developing, and delivering initial contract documents for Network Sourcing deals.
- Work with Executive Negotiators to close Network Sourcing deals, leading and taking ownership in negotiating SOW, SLA, and pricing documents.
- Act as Executive escalation for deal-specific and business issues, providing expert guidance and support to drive successful outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7-10 years of experience in engineering or sales, with a strong track record of delivering complex technical solutions.
- A deep understanding of technical concepts and a proven ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:
- A strong background in software development, with experience working with complex systems and applications.
- Experience working in a sales or technical sales capacity, with a proven track record of driving successful customer outcomes.
- A deep understanding of AT&T's products and services, with the ability to develop and deliver complex solutions that meet customer needs.

Compensation and Benefits
As a Principal Technical Consultant with AT&T, you'll be rewarded with a competitive salary, ranging from $174,100 to $261,100, depending on your geography, experience, expertise, and education/training. You'll also have access to a range of benefits and perks, including:
