We're now seeking an exceptional Principal Technical Program Manager to join our Enterprise People Technology team, focusing on the Global Time & Attendance systems that serve 2 million Walmart associates worldwide. As a Principal TPM, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the compliance and efficiency of our internal tools, driving technical innovation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results.
About the Role
The Global Time & Attendance team is responsible for developing and maintaining the key tools used by Walmart associates globally to track their work hours and ensure accurate payment. As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you'll be instrumental in accelerating the compliance of our internal tools and driving technical innovation to support our associates worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop technical requirements based on business stakeholder needs to prioritize work for engineering and design teams.
- Partner closely with engineering and system design teams to ensure technical solutions meet business requirements and drive technical innovation.
- Cross-functionally manage projects with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Drive project planning, execution, and delivery, leveraging Agile software development methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience working cross-functionally within a large organization. The ideal candidate will have:
Essential Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience working cross-functionally within a big organization.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including Walmart leadership.
- Prior experience with Agile software development methodology and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience as a Technical Program Manager, Software Developer, or other technical role.
- Either a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related area and 6 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area, OR 8 years' experience in engineering, engineering program management, technical program management, product management, or related area.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, with specialization in strategy, supply chain, finance, information systems, or related area, and 4 years' experience in product design.
- Knowledge of creating inclusive digital experiences, implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
- Background in accessibility best practices and experience in creating accessible products and services.

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $132,000 - $264,000 per annum, along with:
