Dedicated and Experienced Property Manager Needed IMMEDIATELY! – 10+ Unit Multifamily (5+ Years Experience Required) Job Description: A private property owner is seeking a hands-on, reliable, and experienced Property Manager to oversee the operations of a multifamily rental property (10+ units) located in Oakland. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record in managing multifamily units, handling maintenance coordination, and communicating effectively with tenants. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work directly with the owner in a long-term arrangement. For the first 1 or 2 months a little more work and time to establish yourself with tenants and address a couple of outstanding items, after that just routine rent collection and coordinating repairs as needed. Tenants are long term with no issues (Average tenant has been there 10+ years). Private Owner is hands-on and will help with management. The property is located in East Oakland near Mills College and 580 freeway (exact address provided during interview process). Compensation: • 6% of collected monthly rental income (negotiable based on experience and track record) • New tenant placement for vacant units or lease ups ($250-$1000 per unit is common). Additional compensation may apply for renting out vacant units, new renovations, (not required: court appearances for evictions) • Flexible payment arrangements based on experience and services offered Responsibilities Include: • Rent collection • Coordination of repairs/maintenance • Tenant communication • Vendor management • Routine inspections and walkthroughs or emergencies Requirements: • Minimum 5 years of experience managing multifamily properties (10+ units preferred) • Critical: will be dependable, accountable, and responsive • References required Preferred but not required: • Proven ability to work independently and manage maintenance vendors • Experience with Yardi, AppFolio, or RentRedi • East Bay vendor network • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus To Apply: Please send your resume and a brief statement of experience to: [[email protected]] (This is a private search.
