As a Quality Assurance Engineer - Virtual Testing & Simulation for our Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging (MSP) Team, you'll play a crucial role in developing virtual platforms to test and verify solutions through simulations and emulations with a high degree of fidelity.
About the Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Team at blithequark
The MSP team at blithequark is at the forefront of innovation, driving future advancements across all aspects of Mechatronics and Packaging. Our team focuses on industrial hardware/control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. We collaborate with key stakeholders, including Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, WW Design, and more, to ensure we deliver robust products that effectively integrate into the blithequark Fulfillment network.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and execute simulations and Hardware In the Loop (HIL) to virtually validate end-to-end solutions using real-life software.
- Ensure products meet required specifications for quality, function, operation, reliability, maintenance, training & learning, deployment, process- and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integration, service, and support prior to delivery.
- Identify and set appropriate quality standards and parameters for products and communicate these to the product team, including hardware, software, controls, and materials development teams.
- Coordinate simulations and testing processes, identifying and analyzing issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, and recommend solutions.
- Connect with internal customers, review client, customer, and user feedback, and maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of proven experience working with large cross-functional engineering teams with modeling, simulation, testing, integration, and/or quality assurance domain expertise.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 70% to business locations and project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management.
- Project management skills to start and finish projects successfully.
