Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Quality Control Standards Data Analyst to join our team as a summer 2024 intern, with a 12-week temporary position lasting from May 21 to August 9, 2024. As a member of our Quality Control Strategies and Guidelines Group, you'll drive a culture of security, efficiency, and growth by identifying statistical patterns and performance metrics to improve the Quality Control division. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing data to create, present, and make suggestions for innovative ideas and projects, as well as performing basic analysis to alleviate the risk of resistance through process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

As a Quality Control Standards Data Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

• Perform and assist others in the Quality Control group in ideal data collection, validation, and root cause analysis on data components.
• Assist with creating and conveying results from complex data and analysis for both technical and non-technical clients and leaders.
• Assist with exploring ad-hoc requests arising due to emerging maintenance issues and provide logical answers to enable Senior Leadership to make business decisions while adjusting existing project responsibilities.
• Present insights, patterns, and potential recommendations by utilizing data visualization tools supporting the relevant marks of the investigation to ease partner understanding.
• Assist with creating and disseminating specific queries to pull and coordinate data from various sources, establishing the rhythm, and approving the need of the data requirements.
• Recognize irregularities in processes through reviews/audits and convey findings to the Group.
• Assess the effectiveness of processes and methods by observing for patterns and errors.
• Ensure that a compliance mindset is at the forefront of every decision.
• May perform other work responsibilities as directed by Group Leader.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• A bachelor's degree in a related field.
• A strong ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large amounts of data with precision and accuracy.
• The capacity to effectively listen, understand, and communicate thoughts and present recorded in writing, verbally, or presentations delivered to discussions of varying audiences.
• The ability to evaluate business issues, identify valuable opportunities for data needs, and interpret resulting metrics.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools and capabilities, such as Tableau, Alteryx, and QuickBase, is preferred.
• The ability to grasp the issue, summarize, and perform root cause analysis on data, and provide recommendations using logic and reasoning.
• The ability to work independently in a team-oriented, help/group-based environment.
• The ability to focus on responsibilities seriously and be a self-motivated individual.
• Prior internship experience in a related field is preferred.
• The ability to manage sensitive and confidential data appropriately.
• The ability to plan and support large business initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:

• Prior experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
• Experience with data mining and machine learning techniques.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
• Experience with data governance and compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
