Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Healthcare Insurance Call Center Agent to work with our Fortune 500 healthcare client. As a Call Center Agent, you will be responsible for making outbound calls to insurance providers, updating patient data, and ensuring accurate information. You will also work closely with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients. Key Responsibilities:
- Make outbound calls to insurance providers to verify patient coverage and resolve issues
- Update patient data, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Utilize computer skills for data entry and management
- Operate according to the guidelines of the Federal Health Care Program
- Collaborate with carriers to ensure coverage of medication on behalf of patients
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns
- Work effectively in a remote environment, maintaining strong communication with team members and management
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Experience with Healthcare Insurance: A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in healthcare insurance, preferably in a call center environment
- Medical Call Center Experience: Previous experience in a medical call center is a plus, but not required
- Active Internet and Home Workspace: A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace at home
- Multi-Tasking and Dual Monitors: Ability to multi-task and use dual monitors with ease
- Great Work Attitude and Communication Skills: A positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to help others
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required
- Residency Requirement: Must live in Florida or Georgia (no exceptions)
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience with healthcare insurance claims and billing
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
