Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced RTI Teacher to provide high-quality instructional support to students with diverse learning needs. The successful candidate will utilize the RTI and PBS (Positive Behavioral Supports) models to deliver district-approved curriculum and materials. The RTI Teacher will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement evidence-based interventions that promote student learning and achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement RTI interventions and supports for students with diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to identify and address student learning gaps
- Utilize data and assessment results to inform instructional decisions and interventions
- Provide high-quality instructional support to students, including small group and one-on-one instruction
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, parents, and students
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- State of Alaska Type A teacher certification (or equivalent)
- Experience with RTI and PBS models
- Strong knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other support staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education or related field
- Experience with diverse learning populations (e.g., English language learners, students with disabilities)
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools
- Experience with data analysis and assessment

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret educational periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
- Ability to write reports, educational correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, staff, students, parents, and community members

- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
