Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our team, responsible for planning and executing cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of informational indexes utilized for data/text mining, analysis, and business intelligence. Key Responsibilities
- Under moderate supervision, plans and executes cycles and arrangements related to a wide variety of informational indexes utilized for data/text mining, analysis, and business intelligence
- Gains insight into key business issues and expectations by applying statistical analysis procedures to inspect structured and unstructured data from multiple disparate sources
- With moderate guidance, creates solutions from initial concept to production, communicating results to a broad range of audiences
- Effectively utilizes current and emerging technologies to assess trends and develop significant insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the data available for analysis
- Regularly utilizes data, statistical, and quantitative analysis, limited modeling, and fact-based management to drive navigation
- Guides less senior staff, works in cross-functional teams and projects, and regularly presents to management
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, or Finance
- At least 3 years of work experience in measurement and analysis, quantitative business problem-solving, operations research, marketing analysis, simulation development, or predictive analysis
- Proficiency in analysis software and applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present results and recommendations to management and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following skills and experiences are considered an asset:
- Experience or coursework with Agile methodologies, such as SAFE Scrum
- Experience with the following: requirements gathering; probability and statistics; TSQL/PLSQL; Python or R; numerical analysis; discrete data analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx, Python/R, automation, revenue data, and basic accounting information
