Our team of talented professionals is dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests, and we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our ranks. **Job Summary** As a Senior Estimator for Disney Glendale, you will be responsible for estimating the capital budgets of complex projects, including resorts, theme park attractions, cruise ships, and other expansions of the Disney brand. You will work closely with our project teams to develop conceptual estimates, negotiate contractual trade orders, and provide fee guidance and engineering options. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating estimates for reasonableness, managing risks, and forecasting the final value of projects. **Responsibilities** * Estimate all quantities of complex tasks, including resorts, theme park attractions, cruise ships, and other expansions of the Disney brand * Independently produce conceptual estimates of initiatives with incomplete or ambiguous records with minimum supervision * Lead the estimating, negotiating, and settling of contractual trade orders throughout the project * Evaluate and estimate through specs and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and determine the scope of labor and required estimate contents * Collaborate with owners, architects/engineers, and contractors to provide estimating, value engineering, analysis, and scenario planning * Provide fee guidance and fee engineering options to design groups and project teams * Check estimates for reasonableness based on comparable/equal historical experience * Offer fee management throughout the entire lifecycle of a project, continually quantifying risks, growing mitigation plans, and forecasting the entire project envisioned final value (EFC) with the project team and divisions * Work with group leadership to expand project strategies, risk mitigations, and recovery/acceleration plans * Perform comprehensive risk assessments on projects and issues and recommend movement plans to optimize success * Serve as a mentor to less experienced estimating personnel * Act as a subject matter expert (SME) relative to production, estimating, price control, and risk analysis **Primary Qualifications** * Minimum 4 years of estimating and/or cost management experience with a desire to work on projects of high complexity and growing expertise * Ability to resolve conflicts effectively * Proven decision-making and negotiation skills * Confident presenter who can adapt to their target market and speak effectively, both in writing and verbally **Preferred Qualifications** * Understanding specific to the hospitality or themed entertainment industry **Required Education** * Four-year degree in production control, construction, engineering, quantity surveying, business, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience **What We Offer** * Competitive salary: $31-$40/hour * Opportunity to work on complex and high-profile projects * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Professional development and growth opportunities * Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off **Why Join Our Team?** At Disney Glendale, we are committed to delivering exceptional experiences for our guests and creating a workplace that is inclusive, diverse, and supportive of our employees' growth and development.
