The company's Controllership group is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accounting Analyst to join its Corporate Accounting team, contributing to the success of blithequark's financial operations. Job Overview The Senior Financial Accounting Analyst will be an integral part of blithequark's Corporate Accounting Group, reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting. This position offers direct exposure to other blithequark Accounting Leaders and Chiefs, providing a unique opportunity for professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to handle complex tasks with ease. Key Responsibilities Assist in the maintenance of general ledgers and the month-end close cycle related to corporate accounting, including the preparation and review of journal entries for intercompany disposals, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions Prepare and review reconciliations for key accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform variance analyses Monitor intercompany accounts, address any out-of-balance issues, and work with intercompany payments Track related party transactions throughout the fiscal year and perform valuation analyses to determine whether related party transactions are at arm's length Collaborate with the Tax, Legal, and other groups within Controllership to obtain necessary supporting documentation Work directly with the Manager, Financial Accounting - Corporate on ad-hoc management initiatives Aid in the preparation of blithequark's financial statements through the preparation of financial schedules and footnotes Research technical accounting issues and prepare accounting memos to document changes in accounting treatment Assist in managing internal and external audits by working with requests and preparing status meetings Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, the candidate should possess: 3 years of accounting experience Solid knowledge of US GAAP Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high sense of urgency Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A combination of public and private work experience Experience in SAP Entertainment or technology industry experience CPA license Required Education A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required for this position.
