About the Role: Student Success Coach and Externship Coordinator
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Student Success Coach and Externship Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our student support team, you will play a vital role in empowering thousands of students to upskill and secure high-quality jobs in the healthcare industry. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional support to our students, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their programs and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with students to help them stay on track academically, meeting all requirements for graduation and providing guidance on program expectations.
- Collaborate with students to navigate the externship process, including drafting resumes, conducting mock interviews, and ensuring timely completion of all requirements to secure externship placements.
- Liaise with preceptors to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Utilize Front/HubSpot to provide timely and effective support to students, resolving inquiries and issues in a professional and efficient manner.
- Ensure student externship placement on site within one week of completing their program, and coach students to excel in their externship roles.
- Monitor student progress, ensuring they complete their clinical cases and maintain accurate documentation.
- Provide ongoing support to students, addressing any questions or concerns they may have and connecting them with relevant resources and services.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience working in a vocational training school, university, or staffing agency, with a strong understanding of student support services and career development.
- At least two years of experience in career services, externship coordination, or student coaching, with a proven track record of supporting students in achieving their academic and professional goals.
- Familiarity with Front, Freshdesk, or Hubspot, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
- A strong background in surgical technology or a related field, with optional certification as a Tech in Surgery.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work 15-20 hours per week, with flexibility to adapt to changing student needs and priorities.
What We Offer:
In return for your dedication and hard work, we offer a competitive hourly rate of $18.00 - $22.00 per hour, with opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
