Experienced Tax Associate

The ABGI USA Talent Solutions team is seeking skilled and experienced Tax Associates to join one of our premier, mid-sized, CPA firm clients based in Austin, Texas This role is ideal for an emerging public accounting tax specialist that either has their CPA or is in the process of sitting for it. This role will focus on tax planning, review, and compliance for high-net-worth individuals, private client services, and a variety of corporate structures, including C-corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships. Our client prides themselves on having a strategic technical focus, precision, values client relationships, and has a deep understanding of the tax challenges their clients face. This role can be onsite or hybrid based in Austin, Texas. A Day in the Life: • Work with Senior Managers and Partners on multiple tax engagements, providing comprehensive tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. • Collaborate with team members to ensure deliverables meet high standards and client expectations. • Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals, C-corporations, S-corporations, and partnerships. • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and timely filing of returns. • Conduct in-depth research on tax issues and emerging regulations. • Communicate findings and recommend actionable strategies to clients and internal teams. • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and understanding of their financial needs. • Advise clients on tax-saving opportunities and strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. • Collaborate with other teams to address the tax implications of financial and business decisions. • Stay updated on tax law changes and participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Active CPA license or in the process of sitting for the CPA. • Master’s in Taxation or an equivalent advanced degree preferred. • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in public accounting, specializing in tax services for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and partnerships, or related. • Proven experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for various entity types. • Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. • Proficiency with tax software and tools, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
